Ingredients
1 package biscuits (Pillsbury Grands, 8 count)
1 lb breakfast sausage (mild, spicy, or flavored)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Colby Jack, Swiss, etc.)
6 eggs
½ cup milk
1 pkg peppered gravy mix (2.3 oz)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking pan.
2. Cook sausage in a skillet until no longer pink; drain grease.
3. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and layer in the bottom of the pan.
4. Spread cooked sausage evenly over biscuit pieces.
5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the sausage layer.
6. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper, then pour over the cheese layer.
7. Prepare gravy according to package directions; pour over egg mixture.
8. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until eggs are set and biscuits are golden.
9. Let cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
Make-ahead friendly: Assemble the night before and bake in the morning.
