Description

A festive Brownie Trifle with fudgy brownies, creamy chocolate pudding, and fluffy vanilla whipped cream layered in a glass dish. Quick to assemble, party-friendly, and easy to customize for Christmas.

Ingredients

Scale

2 packages Nestlé Toll House Brownies & More Chocolate Baking Mix with Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

2 large eggs

1 cup vegetable oil

6 tablespoons water

2 (3.9-ounce) packages instant chocolate fudge pudding mix

4 cups cold milk

4 cups heavy cream (very cold)

1/3 cup sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Optional add-ins: chopped peanut butter cups, toffee bits, or a splash of Baileys

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease two 8-inch square pans.

2. In a bowl combine brownie mix, eggs, oil, and water until smooth.

3. Stir in two-thirds of the chocolate morsels. Spread batter in pans.

4. Bake 10 minutes, sprinkle remaining morsels on top, then bake 20–25 minutes more until a toothpick comes out clean.

5. Cool brownies completely and cut into small squares.

6. Whisk instant chocolate fudge pudding mix with cold milk until thick, 2–5 minutes. Chill.

7. In a chilled bowl beat heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

8. Assemble in a trifle dish: layer brownie cubes, chocolate pudding, and whipped cream.

9. Repeat layers and finish with a thick layer of whipped cream.

10. Garnish with chocolate shavings. Refrigerate until serving or serve immediately.

Notes

Make the trifle a day in advance and refrigerate covered.

Assemble in one large trifle bowl or in individual cups for parties.

Customize with peanut butter cups, toffee bits, or a splash of Baileys for adults.

Store covered in the refrigerator if not serving right away.
