Description

Creamy Christmas Peppermint Pie with a cool minty filling, festive pink hue, and crunchy chocolate crust. No bake and crowd pleasing for busy holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 chocolate Oreo pie crust

2 (3 oz) boxes white chocolate instant pudding mix

2 cups milk

1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (not mint extract)

1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, divided

2 to 3 candy canes or peppermint candies, crushed

Red food coloring

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, whisk the pudding mix with milk until smooth.

2. Stir in the peppermint extract and enough red food coloring to reach your desired color.

3. Gently fold in about 1 cup of whipped topping without overmixing.

4. Pour the filling into the pie crust and spread evenly.

5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

6. Before serving, pipe the remaining whipped topping around the edge and sprinkle crushed candy canes inside the topping border.

Notes

Chill for at least 4 hours to ensure clean slices.

For clean cuts, wipe the knife with warm water and dry between slices.

Crush candy canes by sealing them in a plastic bag and rolling with a pin.
