Description
A tart, citrusy, and cozy Thanksgiving cocktail made with cranberry syrup, orange juice, and smooth whiskey. Ready in minutes and perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
2 ounces cranberry simple syrup
2 ounces fresh orange juice
1 ½ ounces whiskey (bourbon or rye)
½ ounce lemon juice
Ice
Optional garnishes: orange slice, sugared cranberries, rosemary sprig
Instructions
1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Add cranberry simple syrup, orange juice, whiskey, and lemon juice.
3. Shake thoroughly until well chilled.
4. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
5. Garnish with orange slice, sugared cranberries, or rosemary sprig.
Notes
For cranberry simple syrup, combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup cranberries in a saucepan. Simmer until cranberries burst and sugar dissolves. Strain, cool, and refrigerate up to 1 week.
Add cinnamon sticks or orange peel for extra flavor.
Best served cold over ice.
