Description

This tea based gelatin drink is an Ashton inspired pre meal routine made with unflavored gelatin, hot water, and cold water or unsweetened black tea plus optional lemon. Drink it 15 to 30 minutes before lunch or dinner to support satiety and mindful portions. It is not an official Dr. Jennifer Ashton recipe, but it fits a simple, consistent habit approach.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon (or 1 packet) unflavored gelatin powder

1/2 cup hot water

1/2 cup cold water or unsweetened black tea

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

1. Sprinkle the gelatin over 1 to 2 tablespoons of cold water and let it sit for 1 minute until spongey.

2. Boil water and steep a tea bag for 3 to 4 minutes, then remove the tea bag and let the liquid cool slightly so it stays hot but not aggressively boiling.

3. Stir the bloomed gelatin into the hot tea or hot water until fully dissolved and smooth.

4. Add lemon juice if using, then stir again.

5. Drink warm right after mixing, or chill 2 to 3 hours to set slightly.

6. Take it 15 to 30 minutes before lunch or dinner for appetite control and portion support.

Notes

Use high quality unflavored gelatin to avoid clumping and get a smoother texture.

Lemon juice adds flavor but it is optional.

You can chill the mixture into cubes for a portable snack like version.

Consistency with timing before meals tends to improve results.

This is not an official Dr. Jennifer Ashton recipe. It is inspired by her wellness style and mindful habit approach.

Storage: Keep chilled up to 3 days, portioned in jars, cups, or molds.

Purpose: Supports appetite control and mindful eating. It is not intended for fat burning or meal replacement.
