Ingredients
1 apple, cut into 8 wedges, seeds removed
¼ cup light brown sugar
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and divided
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tube (226g) crescent rolls
Sugar glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix brown sugar, 2 tbsp melted butter, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
3. Unroll crescent dough and place 1 tbsp of the sugar mixture and 2 apple wedges on each triangle.
4. Roll from the wide end, sealing filling inside, and arrange on baking sheet.
5. Brush with remaining butter and bake 15–20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
6. Cool briefly, drizzle with glaze, and serve warm.
Notes
Use firm apple varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best texture.
Keep crescent dough chilled until use for easier handling and better puff.
Avoid overfilling to prevent leaks; about 1 tbsp filling per turnover works best.
Seal edges firmly to keep filling inside; brushing seams with beaten egg helps.
For extra flavor, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar after baking.
