3 lbs round steak, cut into 1-inch pieces

½ onion, diced

2 tsp minced garlic

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

4 tbsp butter

1 cup beef broth

Instructions

1. Cut steak into 1-inch pieces and place in the crockpot.

2. Add diced onion, garlic, salt, and pepper over the meat.

3. Pour beef broth over the top.

4. Place sliced butter on top of everything.

5. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours, stirring occasionally.

6. Serve hot with your favorite side.

Notes

Optional: Brown the steak pieces for 2–4 minutes before slow cooking to boost flavor.

You can use sirloin or stew meat instead of round steak.

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5–7 days.

To make a gravy, whisk 1 tbsp cornstarch with ½ cup water and stir into juices. Heat on high until thickened.
