Description
Frosted Christmas Brownies are fudgy, festive, and fun to decorate. Turn simple boxed mix into Santa hats and Christmas tree brownies that shine on any holiday dessert table.
Ingredients
2 boxes brownie mix or 1 for thinner brownies
Spray oil
White frosting
Red food coloring
Green food coloring
White pearl sprinkles
Edible gold stars
Instructions
1. Preheat oven following the brownie mix directions.
2. Spray a 9 inch springform pan with oil.
3. Prepare brownie batter per box instructions. Combine two boxes for thicker brownies if desired.
4. Pour batter into the pan and smooth the top.
5. Bake as directed until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
6. Cool completely, then remove from the pan.
7. Cut into 8 triangle pieces for trees and Santa hats.
8. Tint frosting: green in one bowl, red in another, leave some white. Pipe green trees with pearls and stars. Pipe red hats with white trim and a dot. Serve.
Notes
Using two boxes creates thicker brownies so extend bake time slightly.
One box yields standard thickness with regular bake time.
Adjust frosting color intensity to taste.
