Slow Cooker Pork Chops come out tender and juicy in a savory garlic herb broth. Easy comfort food your family will love.
Ingredients
4 pork chops
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 ½ cups chicken broth
1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
1. Score pork chops with shallow slits in a diamond pattern, then season with salt and pepper.
2. Combine paprika, garlic powder, poultry seasoning, oregano, and basil. Set aside 2 teaspoons.
3. Rub the reserved 2 teaspoons of spice mix into the chops, pressing into the slits.
4. Stir remaining spice mix with chicken broth and minced garlic.
5. Pour the broth mixture into a 6 quart slow cooker, then place pork chops on top.
6. Cover and cook on High for about 1 hour 40 minutes, basting occasionally.
7. Check for doneness at 145°F 63°C internal temperature. Serve warm.
Notes
Updated after testing based on user feedback: oil removed and cook time reduced. Original cook time was 4 hours.
Use a 6 quart slow cooker.
